About Me

Hi there! Thanks for stopping by…

I am a thirty year old living in Melbourne, Australia. I work in the finance/financial services/banking industry. I currently work for one of the major banks in Australia and love my job!

I love good food and dining out. I eat just about anything. My guiltiest pleasure are rice and chocolate. I’m a complete Asian in the sense where I simply cannot survive without rice. And chocolate? Don’t get me started.

I love my family. My nephew and niece are the greatest joys in my life. I love them with all my heart and all of my being.

I have a fabulous bunch of girlfriends. Most of them I have known for half my life or longer. I value our friendship, our sisterhood, trust and loyalty. Even after so many years.

I love the beach, photography and travel. My favourite cities in the world are Chicago, San Francisco and New York City. Although I will always refer to Kuala Lumpur as ‘home’, Melbourne will always be where my heart is.

I lost my mother to Ovarian Cancer nearly 10 years ago in 2002. I was 21 years old and it was by far the worst day of my life. When she was first diagnosed, we were told we would only have her for a couple of months but she stuck around for another 4 years. She is the bravest, most courageous person I’ve ever known and till today, she continues to be my inspiration in all that I do. To say that I miss her like crazy would be the biggest understatement.

Bali will always have a special place in my heart. It is where my beautiful man proposed to me in January 2011. I am now blissfully engaged and frantically planning our wedding. We are getting married in June 2012. I cannot wait to marry my soul mate and best friend. What’s in store for us after? You’ll just have to wait and see…

In the meantime I am simply living life and loving every moment! This blog is here to pretty much record the simple moments of my everyday life and it is also here to record the most special moments in my life. In short, I have the worst memory and this is a diary for me to look back on in the future… I love nothing more than to reminisce and be sentimental!

Again, thanks for stopping by, I hope you enjoy the ride…

  1. Hello!

Doh! I just wrote a comment and it disappeared :(

Thanks for signing my guestbook! It was such a nice surprise. Good to see you’re still updating! Time really DOES fly, doesn’t it?
Yup, Salami and I (after all these years I finally realised that that is the worst anonymous-type name ever) are getting married at the end of the year. Scary!
How about you? Any plans? :)
